Very young children love music and song. Early experiences help them to develop memory, speech, concentration, confidence and skills to play instruments when they are older.
The sessions are structured and progressive over the 12 week term. All groups run on an adult assisted basis (ideally one to one with your child.) I am confident that you and your child(ren) will enjoy making music together and ask that you pay half termly after the first session. Come along and give it a go!
The hourly sessions are action-packed so there won't be time for socialising during the class, but you are welcome to stay for a chat and a drink toward the end. Please bring beakers for young children and I will provide soft drinks.
All children are different and although my aim is to keep their attention this isn't always possible, so please be responsible for your children at all times. This will ensure that the class can continue without too many interruptions. Please save toys and food until the end of the session - thankyou!
£3.50 per baby/child and adult
Only £1 extra for families with more than one child
1/2 termly bookings and payment only
The hourly sessions are held weekly and run in line with school terms.

I travel throughout North Devon visiting pre schools and toddler groups for musical hours and Christmas parties. Bookings are taken 4 months in advance and are termly or yearly.
Music can help personal creativity
Very young children are able to develop critical thinking skills using musical activities and play. Music can build confidence through performing in a controlled environment. It can also create situations where a child can be responsible for making creative decisions that have an immediate outcome.
Music can help to develop social skills
Our early social interactions are primarily musical in nature - lullabies, nursery songs, action songs and short repetitive communications. Singing is a universal feature of any baby's growth and should never be underestimated as a developmental tool.
